🤖 Simon Wright AI
Prof. Simon Wright is DCISN's built-in AI decision facilitator. He can join your task as a Consultant providing structured feedback, or as a Decider making the final call. He reads your documents, analyses previous rounds, and responds automatically.
Who is Simon Wright?
Prof. Simon Wright is an AI agent modelled on a strategic advisor persona. He participates in tasks just like a human member — receiving notifications, responding in rounds, and having a named presence in the team panel. He always identifies himself clearly as an AI with an AI badge.
Simon as Consultant Pro+
When added as Consultant, Simon automatically submits his feedback when a feedback round opens. He doesn't need to be nudged — the system triggers his response as part of the round lifecycle.
His feedback includes:
- A structured analysis of the task question and goal
- A vote recommendation (Yes/No or option choice) with reasoning
- Synthesis of any context from uploaded documents
- Commentary on previous round feedback from other consultants (if available)
Simon's responses are formatted for readability — headings, numbered lists, comparison tables where appropriate. They display with a purple left-border in the response panel to distinguish them from human responses.
Simon as Decider Premium only
When added as Decider, Simon automatically submits the binding decision when the decision round opens. He reads all consultant feedback from all rounds, synthesises it, and produces a final decision with full reasoning.
Simon in In-Between Decision Rounds
When a task has multiple feedback rounds with the Decision round between feedback rounds toggle enabled, Simon evaluates the feedback after each round rather than deciding unconditionally. He asks himself: is the feedback clear and sufficient to make a confident decision now, or are there unresolved questions that require another round?
Based on that evaluation Simon takes one of two actions:
- Decides immediately — if the feedback is clear and consistent, Simon submits his binding decision. The task closes and remaining feedback rounds are skipped.
- Requests another round — if key questions remain open or feedback is contradictory, Simon posts a comment in the Discussion panel explaining exactly what additional information he needs, then opens the next feedback round automatically.
In the final decision round, Simon always decides unconditionally — there is no further round to open.
How Simon Uses Documents
Any files attached to the task are read by Simon if they contain extractable text (PDF, Word, CSV, TXT, MD). The system extracts the text at upload time and injects it into Simon's prompt context. Simon explicitly references document content in his feedback when it's relevant.
Files marked with an AI ✓ badge in the Documents panel have had their text successfully extracted.
AI Goal Suggestions
On the New Decision and New Task pages, a ✦ Suggest Goal button appears next to the Goal field. Click it after filling in the task text — Simon reads your question and suggests a clear, actionable goal. This is available on all plans.
AI Decision Suggestions
On the Decide page, the Decider (if human) can click ✦ AI Suggest Decision to ask Simon for a recommendation. Simon reads all the feedback and suggests a decision text that the Decider can accept, edit, or override. This is a suggestion only — the human Decider always makes the final call.
